Our role in the fight against cancer
1 in 4 of the Danes who die from cancer are lung cancer patients. Something needs to be done about it.
We have therefore established the Danish Research Center for Lung Cancer, which is to make the collaboration between researchers and doctors in Denmark even better. By doing larger research projects that are part of several departments in the country, we can better investigate new treatments that can help patients more quickly.
The Danish Lung Cancer Group (DLCG) has over the past 25 years worked to improve the quality of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with lung cancer. DLCG has contact with a large network of doctors across the country, and this network we will draw upon as we develop the research center
